Kumari Falls (Kumari Ella)

Being one of the very few waterfalls situated within the Colombo Disctrict, Kumari Ella has been a very popular destination due to its easy accessibility. Although, quite small in size compared to other famous waterfalls found in the country, still this waterfall is no less in beauty and grandeur.

Alakeshwara Ruins, Kotte.

Assumed to be the palace of Alakeshwara - the founder of the ancient city of Kotte, these ruins belong to one of the less known, but historically important archaeological sites located in the heart of the Sri Lankan capital Sri Jayawardhanapura Kotte.
