Siam Park City, Bangkok.

Location: Thanon Suan Siam, Khan Na Yao, Bangkok 10230, Thailand.

Situated just a few kilometres off the heart of Bangkok, Siam Park City (pronounced “Suan Siam” in Thai) is one of the most popular attractions in Thailand. A visit to this amusement and water park would surely provide you a day full of fun and excitement.

This park has been set in a 120-acre land in Khan Na Yao district of Bangkok, and was opened in November 1975 by the founder Chaiwat Luangamornlert.


Getting There…

Private cars and taxis
  • When coming along Serithai Road, heading towards Minburi, turn left to Siam Park Avenue (Serithai Soi 75, 7 km from Bangkapi junction).
  • When coming along Ramindra Road heading towards Minburi, turn right to Siam Park Avenue opposite to Nopparat Rajadhani Hospital (Ramindra 12 km).
  • When coming along Ardnarong-Ramindra Expressway:
    1. Take Ramindra exit heading Minburi.
    2. Go straight forward for 8 km passing the bridge.
    3. Fashion Island Department Store will be on your left.
    4. Continue straight for 1 km from Fashion Island, until you reach the Nopparat Rajadhani Hospital on the same side.
    5. Turn right to Siam Park Avenue at the traffic-light opposite to the hospital. (Amorini Mall is located at this junction.)
  • When coming from Eastern Outer Ring Road (from Bangna):
    1. Take Serithai exit heading Minburi.
    2. Go straight forward for 1 km.
    3. Turn left to Siam Park Avenue.
  • When coming from Srirach Express Way connecting to Motorway (Highway No.7) heading to Chonburi:
    1. Keep left to Eastern Outer Ring Road. (Highway No.9) heading to Bang Pa-In.
    2. Take "Serithai" exit heading Minburi.
    3. Go straight forward for 1 km.
    4. Turn left to Siam Park Avenue.
Public Transport - Buses
  • Buses No. 60, 71, 96, 115 (buses stop at the park's gate).
  • Air-conditioned buses No. 168, 519 (buses stop at the park's gate).

Opening Hours

Water Park - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. everyday

Amusement Park - 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. everyday

Admission is free for children under 100 cm. Children between 100 cm - 130 cm are considered "Kids".

Wave Pool
Attractions

Siam Park consists of five zones:

  1. Water Park
  2. X-Zone
  3. Family World
  4. Fantasy World
  5. Small World

Each zone is full of various rides and many more exciting experiences. Some noteable attractions are:


Speed Slides
Water Park

Wave Pool:  This claims to be the world's largest wave pool with cascading waterfalls and numerous rock pools. This covers a total area of 13 600 m2.

Speed Slides:  The 75 ft. high slider which is believed to be the tallest slider in South East Asia.

Super Spiral:  Four integrated spiralling slides at varying levels.

Flowing Pool

Flowing Pool:  The flowing river moving throughout the water park.

Spa Club:  The health spa club with original Thai massage.


X-Zone

Vortex:  This is one of the two largest suspended looping coasters in the world, and the first of its kind in South-East Asia. It is 765 m while 33 m high long and consists of 5 loops with several drops. It was designed and built by Vekoma Co.Ltd.

Balloon Race:  Opened in 2009, this will send you gliding through the air.

Condor:  Will spin you around and launch you into the sky at 24 m meters high.

Giant Drop:  75 m free-fall ride.

Boomerang:  Reverse roller coaster with 3 loops. It is a well-known coaster custom from Vekoma co.ltd.

Topspin:  Will launch you up to the sky and then spin you in and out of the fountains, so be prepared to get wet.


Family World

Si-Am Tower:  A 100 m high observation tower with a revolving observation cabin which offers a 360° panoramic view of Bangkok.

Big-Double Shock:  A terrifying haunted house tour.

Balloon Race

Africa Adventure:  One of the newest attractions to the park. You can choose to go on either a boat or train trip round the Island. Here you will see animatronics of tigers and elephants and even King Kong.

Jurassic Adventure:  A Jeep ride into the world of ancient creatures. Using Animatronics you will see over 30 different species of dinosaurs, and an exploding volcano.

Dinotopia:  Dinosaur museum. Here you will learn the history behind these amazing creatures.

Vortex

Log Flume:  The park's newest attraction and a truly impressive spectacle as well as a thrilling ride.

Double-Deck Merry-Go-Round:  One of the very first attractions in the park and is a double decker merry-go-round.


Fantasy World

Twin Dragon:  Pirate ship ride with a dragon theme.


Travel Notes

Following are based on the visit to Siam Park City on 2009-04-09.

  • Being a very popular attraction among all ages, expect this place to be quite crowded, specially on holidays.
  • Water Park was exceptionally good and nicely designed, equipped with very convenient changing room facilities.
